Thought for the week :

If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito. Dalai Lama.

Technique for the week:

Hangetsu-barai-uke ( half- moon foot block)

As defined in Master Nagamine’s book, this block is use is used to remove or block the opponents hand when ones own hand has been grabbed. The block is formed by swinging the back leg of nekoashi-dachi or zenkutsu- dachi ( front leg bent stance) in a half circle, blocking the opponents hand. It is used in Kata’s Rohai, Passai, Kusanku and I think is the same block in Pinan sandan.
