Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate / Technique of the Week

Technique of the Week (September 11th, 2005)

From Sensei Lorenzo Aguon

Can You recite the karate creed?

There are times when individuals come together to unite as a family, a group, an organization, a community, even a country. Shorin-Ryu Karate U.S.A. is what all of us have in common, regardless of how many miles or bodies of water that separate each of us.

Everyday this week, lets take the time to ensure we stay strong as a family, a group, an organization...by simply reciting our karate creed and making sure that all deshi can recite the karate creed.

KARATE CREED
"I come to you only with karate. My hands are empty, but I fear no man. Should I be forced to defend myself, my honor, or my principles; should it be a matter of right or wrong, life or death - then here are my weapons, my empty hands."

"The best of all teachers are the ones who live the creed. To see good put into action is what everyone needs"
