 Te- Hand

Explore the various striking parts of the hand, at least eight,
and the many variations of the applications of the parts.

i.e. One technique, the shuto (knife hand), p.76 of Master
Nagamine's text, and three (of several) ways of how shuto is
used are described in words and photos p.77.
Research this well.

An excellent description of the fist technique is found on p.69.

Te (hand)...kara-te (China-hand or empty-hand).
Research the history of To-te (karate) in the Okinawan
Karate-Do text chapter 1 and in the Red & Green Books.

Okinawan Karate-Do, Chapter 1, page 20:
"No matter how you may excel in the art of te,
and in your scholastic endeavors,
nothing is more important than your behavior
and your humanity as observed in daily life."

Arigato,
Kyoshi Robert Scaglione.
