PREPARATION

I wish to thank Hanshi for the recent Dan level promotions and for his support throughout the years. In turn, I wish to thank all the Shihan and directors for their efforts in moving forward and bringing our art to so many people worldwide. Also I thank all the Dan and Kyu level instructors for their part instructing and conducting classes. What does this have to do with technique? I am offering a portion Deby Goldenberg's paragraph submitted as a Dan level requirement. "I prepare myself before conducting a karate class. My aim is to encourage and foster growth. I thank everyone (including white belts) for sharing their techniques, ideas and experience in karate with me. Without them I couldn't in turn share all of this with others." The technique is about propagating the art of Shorin-Ryu Karate USA. Arigato, Kyoshi Robert Scaglione
